Barnes and Wolland Win at Rend Lake   The Illinois Bass Federation started the 2007 Open Trail tournament season at Rend Lake on Sunday April 1st. Ninety-eight anglers participated in this first competition of six and the tournament conditions appeared they would be more than ideal. The anglers would find out quickly however that although the conditions looked ideal they were far from it. The bass had developed lock jaw and figuring out how to catch these bass would become a task that few anglers would be able to accomplish. Mike Barnes Pro-Div. angler from the Falcon Bass Club caught four fish weighing 10.08 lbs to win the tournament and collect the Ranger Cup check. Duane Wolland of the Illinois Central bass club won the Am-Div by catching two fish that weighed in at 7.67 lbs.
